Defective starter solenoid. Check battery and make sure connections are clean and secure.

 1 The Batteries are flat or a bad connection .2 The starter motor is faulty  short the main power supply on the selonoid to the main starter terminal with a screwdriver . 3 main earth lead from engine to chassis broken .4 if automatic gear stick switch or relay .

 Do you have jumper cabels? Try that with hittting the gas pedal! And you have to check the carborater.
