the vehicle i have a question about is a 2005 kia sorento ex. when i tried to start the vehicle it would only make clicking noises. all of the lights and other elect parts lite up well. what is causing the vehicle to click instead of starting

Defective starter solenoid. Check battery and make sure connections are clean and secure.

1 The Batteries are flat or a bad connection .2 The starter motor is faulty short the main power supply on the selonoid to the main starter terminal with a screwdriver . 3 main earth lead from engine to chassis broken .4 if automatic gear stick switch or relay .

Do you have jumper cabels? Try that with hittting the gas pedal! And you have to check the carborater.
