    2001 chev. silverado 4x4 auto-trans. 350 engion. when I turn on the key to start it kicks the braker to the fuel-pump. we put on a new fuel pump it still kicks the breaker. fuel pump will not work. with the pump unhocked there is elect-juse all the way through the wire. when it is conected it kicks the breaker. The chev. dealed, in town said he didn't have a clue. Please help, if you can.

    Remove fuel pump relay from under hood. Direct jump to hot side of the pump. You may have a bad fuel relay. Not a fuse but a relay.

    Did you change the breaker? Check the wiring to make sure the pump is not shorting and causing the breaker to kick over.

    double check the polarity on all the wires

    Dis connect the pump check the power supply then check if it is grounding or rotten

    All four answers sound good. I will try each of them on Monday. I will get back to you then.
