acrid means: burning taste , pungent and bitter. Acridine means: A hydrocompound, with a very pungent odor, obtained from coal tar, and used in Dyes. acrimonious means: full of bitterness,scarcastic, and sharp. Acrimony means : sharpness, bitterness of speech or temper; acridity. acriflavine means: An orderless brownish red, granular compound, derived from acridine, and used for antiseptic and disinfectant.
