    I live in the Midwest. How can I save live plants until spring without puttting them in the ground?

    You could build a Hot House or bring your plants inside. Mind you, BOTH will need proper temperature and light in order to grow. I would go for the indoor garden. Easier to set up in a basement and cheaper.
