Go pick up a copy of HOW TO SURVIVE THE LOSS OF A LOVE and read it. It should only take one day to finish, it is a very healing book. I buy copies to give to  friend going through any kind of loss.......

I had that question one time. I read jhharlan's book. I went to counseling. The best advice I got was:

"It takes time"

"How much time?" I asked.

"As long as it takes" she said.        A broken heart is just so very difficult .

That was a year ago. Are you better now? I hope so.

Keep busy and focused on something besides the loss

Never had one as far as a love relationship goes.

sweet heart - Dance as though no one is looking -  Love like your heart has never been broken. It will take time and pain, but maybe not for long - who knows what or whom is waiting for you - you may always remember this experience but in retrospect it will not seem nearly as bad in fact you may even wonder why this broke your heart as life transpires, 

eat some icecream and then make him/her jelous!
