There is a very good chance the hard drive in your old laptop will fit in the new laptop, and exchanging them is relatively easy. If you are mechanically inclined, remove all power (including the battery) and in most cases a screwdriver is all you need. Inspect both hard drives for physical size and the electrical connection to insure they are the same.
If you are not comfortable doing it, a local computer shop shouldn't charge too much to do the job. Please note: Doing this may void your warranty.
