    what is a food chain process that takes place along the mid ocean ridges and does not require sunlight

    Probably connected with the undersea vents which spew out chemicals in hot water. The organisms which live there do not photosynthesise so have no need of sunlight.

    Is it somthing to do with volcanic vents at the bottom of the ocean providing warmth for Corals and Krill like creatures to grow
