Use a hacksaw to cut a strip out of a hollow bone - got to be patient with this, it'll take you more than a half hour ... then work the piece with your knife until you have a point on one end and a flat on the other end. Work the tip of your knife into the flat end in a light-pressure half circle motion back and forth ... be gentle, let the knife do the work or you'll crack the bone. Takes about an hour, hour and a half total. Good luck.
