A friend had a heart attack in June. He got fired from his job. He is depressed and desperate. He has high blood pressure 140/110, sometimes 170/120. My question is: He faints. Can you faint from high blood pressure, or is it likely something more serious? He is Egyptian with poor medical services.

He needs to go to the Emergency room to get treated. He needs medication for high blood pressure that is likely the cause of his fainting. If he has no medical Insurance they have to treat him free of charge. It sounds that he most likely wont find another job with his medical condition and should apply for disability. This is very sad. May God bless him
