    A + G = 76

    (A - 8) +  (G + 15) = 76 - 8 + 15

    A + G = 83

    A + (G - 3) = 83 - 3  (The remainder divided by 2 will tell you how many marbles A has)

    A + G = 80  (Half of 80 is 40.  A has 40 marbles.  G has 3 more than A. ( 40 + 3 = 43)

    A has 40 marbles and G has 43.

    43 - 15 = 28 marbles to start for George.
    Ahmed had 48 marbles to begin with.   28 + 48 = 76

    But that wasn't the question.

OH CRAP. You're right. Back to the drawing board.

Off the computer and get to your math homework!

George had 28 at first but had to surrender them all to Ahmad after Ahmad threatened to blow up George's XBOX.

No use asking me, I lost my marbles years ago.
