A few years ago,I was invited by the Dupont Company to attend a Nascar race in Indianapolis.I'm a sports buff but Nascar doesn't do it for me.It was a scorching 32degree Celcius (90+ F) day but fortunately, the luxury suite was air conditioned with a bar well-stocked with an impressive wine list.Most of the guests chose to sit in the sunny stands. I preferred the comfortable confines of the sliding door-partitioned suite.SOMEONE HAD to judge the wine inventory and I sacrificed myself for the chore. I can't tell you who won the race but the 1994 Brunello was the clear vintage winner that day in my book.
