      Put on shoes with rubber soles or walk around bare foot.

        I've no wife who wants to off me and I love being in bare feet. Works for me. You might want to keep rubber soled shoes on however. ;)

                the main cause is static electricity that is made when walking on nylon based carpets,this then transfers to metalic objects. the secret is not to wear rubber soled shoe`s but to wear rubber gloves.maybe not much help but sure to work.
