I think they will benefit as tourists from other countries will visit places all over the U. K. at the completion of the olympics, it happened in Australia so there's no reason why it can't be same there.

It's just that all the investment is in the South and very little up here and Australia is so much bigger than England you could n't scatter events around Australia due to it's size but you could here as England could probably fit into one of your states

In that case the various contries should start advertising overseas the best reasons for visiting during or after the olympics.
