    If a person is drawing social security and remarries, legally should she change her name?

    You don't have to change your name when you marry... It's a personal choice.....

    IT is up to you if you want to change your name. If you are drawing on a deceased spouses SS you have to report the marrige. You are no longer eligable for the spouces SS at that point. You will be required to pay back any money you recieved from the date of marrige.
