      Commercials pay for the programming you enjoy watching.

        So that they can make money of course, but also so people can make a cup of tea, make comments talk to each other and use the bathroom unless they have a high grade pause facility.

          Commercials pay to be shown...W/O them, we would have to pay to watch the shows.....
