    do we need confirmation of having hip and knee replacements?

    Will we be screened at airport since we have hip and knee replacements?

    Yes, especially if the parts have any kind of scan-able metal in them. My grandfather got a knee replacement and it had titanium in it. He had a card that he carried with him to show at places with security scanners. 

    Yes,  I will warn you though about my own experience.  I have a pretty common disease called digenterated disks.  Anyway, When I had my first fusion on the top part of my spine discs.1-3 they actually went in through the front of my neck.  Of course now I have 2 more rupptured in my lower back,  Point being, I had them take a part of my hip bone for the first fusion.  This was17 years ago, and the testing on cadava bones for HIP or hepatice was not done in all bones.  Anyway, my lower back is painful but my hip is crazy painful most of the time.  I wish now I had used a cadava.,  I would suggest never to screw up your hip and use a donated cadava for your fusions.  Hope and prayers to you.  I feel you pain.  Good Luck,
