The El Primero is link celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and Zenith has been spoiling us with some really neat renditions of the A386, but this might be the ultimate one. The dial is fashioned from lapis-lazuli and the case is made link from platinum. The dial text has been pared down by removing the "automatic" and "chronograph" lines in order to let the dial shine. If a tool watch were ever link designed for a Mughal Emperor, this might be the one.

While link I don't necessarily have link a ZM 12 on my own wishlist yetI am rooting for Leica to find continued success in the watch vertical. For Leica enthusiasts who appreciate the brand's design sensibilities and want to have a Leica for their wrist the ZM 12 makes a compelling case. As for the broader market it might be a harder sell but I link think the ZM 12 is Leica's strongest offering yet.
