Soap and water should do the trick. What are you doing with snails in the house?

I believe snails are sneaking a ride into your home by way of flower pots. You water the plants outside and then bring them inside. 

I suggest you wear shoes at all times until the problem is solved. 

french cuisine:

put several snails in a cigar box filled with corn meal. Punch hole in the top of the paper box.  let them dine on the corn meal for a couple of weeks. after that time, they should be ready for preparation for fine dining. (follow recipe in your french cooking book) serve with white wine (chilled)

don't even think of doing this until you find the exact recipe in a reliable book.  : )

2 inches of beer in a dog bowl overnight should do it…provided your pets don’t have access.
