You can open and recover files such as contacts from the NBF file using the Noki Explorer for Nokia phones. A file with the NBF file extension is probably a Nokia phone back-up file. The NBF file is created by backing up a Nokia smartphone with the Nokia PC Suite desktop software. You can restore the data in an NBF file back to the Nokia phone, if the phone is the same make and model that you created the backup from.
Step 1
Open the Noki Explorer on the computer.

Click the "Browse" button. A file navigation window opens.

Navigate to and click on the NBF file. Click "OK." The file opens and a series of folder appears in the content window.

Click on a folder to show the context menu.

Click the "Extract To" option. A file navigation window opens.

Click on a location where the NBF data will be extracted and click "OK."
