I used to drink because all my friends drank too, we were not alcoholics, we were simply cruising the bars having a good time as most 20+ year olds do.. Having a great time!  I don't drink anymore simply because I don't like the taste of alcohol, any kinds of it..  Except for I sneak a sissy drink when we go out sometimes, like a pink squirrel, Pena Colada, etc,  but I keep my sneak drink in front of my wife so nobody laughs at me for drinking a sissy drink.. LOL

I  LIKE beer, it's good with food, on a hot afternoon, in front of the TV or after a long walk...

After reading the comments, I would recommend the suggestion given by our charming and very able moderator.

When i went in the army - in moderation. Still enjoy a glass of wine and a beer now. Hate being drunk! (only happened a few times)  

I think people drink or use street drugs b/c they're trying to self medicate themselves. Maybe if they had access to anti-depressants and anti -anxiety pills, they wouldn't drink or use street drugs .

If I drink a six pack in a years time,that would be alot for me,so I can say I don't drink...
