To begin you will need a forge,anvil and specialized blacksmithing tools.You begin by heating a piece of steel untill it glows red hot.When it is glowing you repeatedly strike the steel untill it is in the shape desired.You must also re-heat the steel to keep it glowing hot frequently.When you finally reach the desired length and shape it must be quenched to keep the steel's temper.This process is very difficult as a lengthy apprenticeship is needed to hone one's skills to create such a piece.Many hours of hot, tedious, and repetitive hammering are needed to do this as this is NOT a project one would undertake as a do it yourself project.
