You're a little too late for our math tutors I think. I've always hated math. It makes my head hurt and it's 1:10 am here. My brain is sleepy otherwise I'd take the time to set up the formula for you. Starting is 10,000 X 12% =___ ( a calculator can give you that answer. ) Take the answer and divide it into 2200. I hope that's right. Like I said, my brain is sleepy right now.

Where does David do his banking to get the 12% interest???  WOW, haven't seen 12% interest in years and years.  Would love to invest to get that interest rate, I think everyone would love to know that!!!

Ops sorry, I don't know the answer, was so excited about the 12% interest, I'm looking everywhere to find my check book so I too can make that 12% interest!!!  PLEASE  let us know!!  =)

Worse. It's mutual funds. Paying funds may pay out dividends but not interest (if with interest, it's less than .5%). This supposition, as Oceanside indicated, is unrealistic. Nonetheless, you were smart enough to ask the same question twice. Happily my answer for you is in the other one.
