Look on the box there is usually an expiration date on the box you purchased the eggs in.

best to see on the carton BBD (best before date) I do keep them in the fridge always I dont know wether thats the correct thing to do or not its always worked for me

Couple weeks, if you crack one and it's bad you will know............ bad smell.

When we had chickens we had an egg light. You could see inside the egg to see if it was bad.

Don"t use eggs that are more than 2 weeks old. When I was single I cooked breakfast for a girlfriend. There were two eggs left in one carton (which I used first and served to her). My eggs came from the newer, second carton. The next day she went to the hospital with salmonella poisoning, and of course I was fine. It took a couple days before I realized what had happened. BTW: She married me anyway.....:o)
