i don't know what kind of laptop you have and i'm not a computer expert, but try going to Start menu then to your control panel. Then go into network and internet connections. after you get in there click on network connections. then you should have options. i have on mine a lan or high speed internet connection, a wireless network connection and a bluetooth connection. i right click on the wireless network connections and make sure it is enabled. then click on view avaliable wireless networks. and choose which one you want to get on. hope this helped. sorry if it didn't
