      I know that in a nursing home situation .....after your medicare adn medic-aid runs out, then they take your personal assets, like your bank accts. After they empty them , then they go after your car and house. But, if  you have a spouse, they cannot take the hosue away from him / her.  In Mich,  you cannot give all your money over to  your children, within 5 years before   you go into a nursing home.

          No.  Hospice does not work that way.
