Primary colors are red, yellow, and blue. Secondary colors are the ones that are made by combining primary colors: orange (red/yellow), green (yellow/blue), and purple (red/blue). If you combine all three primary colors, you get brown. You can darken with black, lighten with white. Adding white to red can make pink, for example.
