I've searched this and nowhere does it list a K frame. Were you speaking to a backyard mechanic maybe?

A "K" frame is the metal member that connects the right and left side of the uni-body under the engine. It is an integral part of the frame. Most K frames today can not be removed. If your asking because the vehicle has a damaged K frame, junk it.

Thanks ed. I was thinking it was the pattern for where the best support of the vehicle is but I did not think it was a specific car type thing.

It isn't really, but all front wheel drive cars regardless of make do have a K frame.
