My goal and that of anyone who goes into business should be to always to do whatever it took to acquire and retain customers, year after year. If you are successful at doing so, the profits will follow.
To that end I paid higher wages, in every area were I had my shops, to attract the best of the best to come to work for me. By doing so my customers fleet vehicles experience shorter and few hours of down time. The lost time for a customers "Tools" like their vehicles, costs them money.
The people I employed to work FOR me were worth a given amount of money, the ones that worked WITH me were worth a lot more and those that could THINK for me, I could not pay enough!
