Hot AIR heating is generally less expensive to install, but less efficient as well, than a hot WATER heating system since the air needs to be hotter than the water because moving AIR must be produced at a HIGHER temperature.

Standing in a room where the ambient temperature is 100 Degrees, a portable fan blowing that hot air feels COOL, while 100 Degree water in you shower would feel warm.

However one advantage of a hot air heating system is the fact you can add an air conditioning coil usng the same system.

What is more important is the cost per thousand BTU's of the fuel you choose to use.

For instance, Electricity cost five times as much per thousand BTU's, than does Natural Gas.
