There are many different halls of fame, and each has its own criteria and requirements for artists to be inducted into them.
The rock and roll hall of fame criteria include: artists can be inducted 25 years after the release of their first album, and the foundation's committee chooses artists which they believe have contributed to the rock and roll development.
