What is the the difference between a hurricane, thypon and cyclon?

I always thought the only difference was where the storms began. but that does not seem to be the case.

THE STORM TYPES ARE ALL THE SAME, JUST CALLED BY DIFFERENT NAMES IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE WORLD.

Hurricanes are in the ATLANTIC OCEAN

Typhoons are in the PACIFIC OCEAN

Cyclones are in the INDIAN OCEAN

Typhoons also rotate opposite direction from hurricanes. Not sure about cyclones............
