Fire is composed of many different substances, which varies with accordance to the material that is being burnt. Reactions occurring in the burning process include formation of chemicals, which then combine with oxygen to form water, carbon dioxide, ash and partially oxidized products. Heat emitted in burning processes rises the temperature of the mentioned substances. The high temperature leads to light emission.
