The Skin’s pH is about in a hormone balanced adult is around 5.5. Children’s pH level is closer to 7 which is the neutral pH because they produce less of the “Acid Mentle” which is an acidic layer that the body produces to help protect it from bacteria, viruses and fungal infections. When we grow older the skin’d pH levels go up and it becomes harder for the body to protect itself from infections.
Commercial soap’s pH will be around 9-11 which will elevate our skin’s pH levels. It can be fixed by using products to lower the pH.
