why do i feel ill after drinking alcohol

alcohol is POISON. Even though we can drink it,your liver has to process it and neutralize the phenols that cause damage to your brain cells! When you drink too much your liver cannot process it fast enough so the phenols get past it and cause brain cells to die.

You're either drinking too much of it all at once or you're too young for it and are not use to it or you're allergic to it. If it makes you ill, no not drink it.

It sounds like you are allergic to alcohol, don't drink the stuff and consider yourself lucky you'll never develop a problem with it...... (I am not allergic to it....)

Its normal to feel sick after drinking, dehydration would be the biggest cause for sickness. Drink plenty of water during and after your drinking sessions, and dont drink on an empty stomach. Theres not much you can do for a hangover except - ride it out. Your body usually rids 1 drink per hour but again this depends on how healthy your liver is. If you do drink quite a bit and often it is important that you get regular liver function tests. It is not harmful to have the odd drink but of course the best thing to do is to not drink at all. Remember it is an addictive substance and it is no better than taking drugs.
