My wife is more than a best friend.  She is an adviser, disciplinarian, guide, house manager, treasurer, cook......

I had a relationship with a man for 9 years.  We did not marry.  He was my best friend and lover.

My husband is my best friend though sometimes he gets over protective but I sopose I wouldnt have it any other way!

A best friend is one that you can confide in, talk to about anything..I would not say my wife is my best friend she is  my soulmate. This is better than a best friend.  I have many friends, I have only 2 best friends, these are guys I grew up with and I haven't seen them in years but we talk almost once maybe twice per week, we are over 3k miles apart. 

I have also had and have many good friends of the opposite sex, even while married, we talk about different things, each friend has something different to offer you as you have to offer them.

My husband is my best friend. We have always had these stupid fights. i wish we'd stop.

Yes I would say my hubby is my best friend , we have been with oneanother since highschool and have always been thier for each other. Now we have had hard times but , it all made us closer and much better friends.
