Usually indoor cats don’t need baths because they clean themselves and remove bad odors with their barbed tongues. Cleaning a cat may be required when a cat have difficulty cleaning itself as it gets older, in addition, sometimes cats' fur might get oily as a result of climate changes or skin problems, in such cases washing the cat is advised.
Keep in mind that cats usually hate water and will probably try to fight in order to avoid a bath.
