      The hospital department to which a semen sample is sent to is not the same one in every hospital. At some hospitals it is the microbiology department, while at others it’s the hematology department, and in others a semen sample may be sent to the hospital's fertility clinic.

        I agree with Arielle. Every hospital has its own department to which a semen sample is analyzed, however in most cases it is either microbiology or hematology department. Over the course of life, quality and quantity of semen varies in color, viscosity and smell. It usually depends on mineral intake, stress level, hormone fluctuation etc. that changes reflect in an underlying test.
