I am feeling bit strange why you are asking such time of question.
But any way here is a simple solution for you
Problem: 2 times 2
It means 2 multiplied by 2 or 2 is multiplied for 2 times i.e. 2 × 2, show by actual multiplication, correct answer is 4.
Similarly, let us check your answer by addition, 2 is added for 2 times i.e. 2 + 2 = 4
So, the obvious & the correct answer is 4.
