When planting trees, one should add about 25% of organic matter to the soil of the plant. Organic matter for this purpose can be aged manure, sphagnum peat, compost, and pine bark mulch. The organic matter has to be aged or well composted. Insufficiently composted organic matter may lead to nutrient deficiency problems.

    LOL! :)

Epsom salt, I'm not kidding. When planting regular plant add 1 tsp of the salt to the soil to encourage root growth. With a tree, I would suggest adding and mixing in 1/2 to 1 cup of Epsom salt to the soil.....

tree need a good start, nature is the best as the trees that were blow down in uk, the trees that replace them were slower to mature. but the natural seeded ones grow much faster. a good start make big different, dig hole 1 .5 bigger than root fill with soil & composed
