Well, since the roomate was sexually assaulted right before she was killed, it's safe to assume that the man did it. The reason they found Knox's fingerprints on the kitchen knife, it that it came out of the kitchen drawer, and she lived there. Maybe the knife was on the counter, and the man grabbed it.
