When you save them in a photo editor you can select jpg to save them as.

but am seeing them from a cd and i dont have any photo editor on the tools bar
If they are on a cd, then you can not change the formatting without saving the picture to your computer. You will need to download a photo editor. I use photofiltre. http://photofiltre.en.softonic.com/download
