        One disadvantage of scientific and technological advances is that some of them may cause damages to nature: the environment and animals. For instance, with establishment of power plants sometimes plants must be removed, animals' habitats are occupied by the plant's buildings, and when the the plant is operating, it emits polluting gasses and material to the air and water around the plant.
