    Will my old Mercedes depreciate?

    I am contemplating buying a Mercedes 1975 (450SEL)
I know nothing much about cars, but I LOVE the look and feel of this car. It's a classic. I'd like to know at what point an old car becomes 'vintage' and ceases to decrease in value with age. I understand that due to it's age and the difficulty with finding parts, etc, maintenance may be expensive, as may be running costs. However I'm still happy to buy it as long is doing so won't cost me money in depreciation when I go to sell it. I would appreciate any advice. :-) Thanks in advance!

All vehicles depreciate untill they get to the antique category, then they have to be in excellent condition.  i.e. no bondo or fiberglass repairs
