I recently did a job for secret shopper..... they sent me some us postol money orders in the mail. I took them to the bank that I deal with and cashed them with no problem. Today I checked on my account and they have deducted the amounts of those checks from my accounts saying they were counterfit mos.Shouldnt the bank have checked the day they had them in their hand to see if they were real or not? That was all of mine and my husbands savings!

File charges against those that sent  you the checks.

You were not paid for work you had undertaken? I would consult a Citizen's Advice Bureau or similar, it sounds like you are victims of crime and perhaps you should report the matter to the police. This scam is most likely 'well rehearsed' and played out on many others!

All I can say is the tellers aren't trained Good enough,,,I started a new job, took the check to the back and cashed it.luckily is was only  $25.00 ,,a week later my account was locked up.and i received a call from the bank about what happened  .my husband, the teller and myself didn't see it said direct deposited on the bottom off the check,,,its in big bold letters but we all missed it..isn't it there job to catch those kinda things..I could have been trying to fraud the bank and i would have gotten away with it,,,
