      Place a dish of white vinegar in the room,it draws the smell away.

        find where the smell is coming from I tore apart a pantry room for 7 hours still it smelled finally I found a stinky rotten potato . room smells good now

          first get rid of the mold and mildew by scrubbing it out with 'clorox' or other household strong cleaners.  once it is out, one more time use a mild detergent like pine cleaner and you will have a nice clean smelling house.
