It's a rating. If a member thinks you've asked a good question.. provokes debate... amusing... or something you need help with... they can mark yout Kalma up. The same if people agree with your answer, or find it amusing... whatever. You can mark people down too, but that's something you should think hard about. I think it's better to answer the question yourself if you disagree with their answer, or add a comment. Quite where the rating gets you is a mystery to me. The first day I was on site I wasn't allowed to vote anyone up: my own rating wasn't high enough, but that seems to have changed. I guess it's one way of saying thank you if an answer helps you. Actually I don't agree with Bulletman now, but I think he feels that way because people have been voting him down, which is mean. I'll make a start to put that right. (If I try to vote for him twice it makes his rating worse,)
