In order to import photos from a digital camera plug the camera with a usb cable, and, if a dialog box of the camera opens, choose the import files option. If such box doesn't open, click the 'Start' button (sometimes it has a Windows icon on it), which is seen on one of the lower corners of the computer screen, and then on click the 'Computer' or 'My computer' option. Now find the camera's icon and double-click it, find the files you wish to import, highlight them with you computer mouse, and click 'Ctrl + c' in order to copy them. Now choose the folder you wish to import the photos into, and once you opened it, click 'Ctrl + v' in order to paste the files inside of it.
