what kind of sensor is this? A new sensor may work correctly but the dash signal will still illuminate if the sensor is not wired (series) to the warning lamp. Check to see if the warning lamp is receiving 12volt DC at all times. If this is the case the sensor is not in the 'loop' and thus constantly illuminated. This will indicate that a 'good' sensor is not correctly wired into the loop of the system.
