      In order to deactivate a Facebook account do as follows:
      1) Click on the account menu that is on the top right of a Facebook page and is represented by an upside down triangle
      2) Choose the "Account Settings" option
      3) On the left of the Account Settings page choose "Security"
      4) Choose the last option on that page: "Deactivate your account"


      In order to delete a Facebook account go to the following link and choose "Delete My Account":
